Founded in 2015 by Reeve and Bryce Barnett, Brixton Property is a Taranaki-based property investment company with over $300 million in assets under management across New Zealand. Reeve’s passion for the commercial property industry was sparked at a young age through his exposure to the field via his father, Bryce. After completing his Bachelor of Property at the University of Auckland, Reeve gained valuable experience as a member of the Industrial Sales and Leasing team at Bayleys Real Estate in the Auckland market.
Reeve went on to manage the property portfolio of the Barnett family interests before establishing Brixton Property. Reeve’s expertise and experience continue to drive the success of Brixton, as he remains committed to delivering outstanding service and results for his clients with a real passion and focus on creating and building relationships.
After completing a property degree, Bernie worked for Bledisloe Estate Trust, managing the NZ Blind Foundation property investments. Prior to joining Brixton, Bernie worked as a Fund Manager and Asset Manager at Centuria Funds Management (previously Augusta Funds Management) for 13 years managing portfolios across New Zealand and South-East Queensland. The portfolio he managed was a diverse range of commercial properties from office to industrial, however, as a Fund Manager the key property in his Fund was a large medical Centre, Anglesea Medical Precinct (One of NZ’s largest private healthcare centres with 28 tenants, many being the Waikato’s leading medical providers).
Following the completion of his Commerce degree, majoring in Finance, Matt began his career at Augusta Funds Management (now Centuria Funds Management), a leading commercial property and funds management company. In his dual finance and accounting role, Matt was responsible for managing the financials and reporting of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
While excelling in his role, Matt’s passion for the property management side grew, prompting him to join Reeve at Brixton. As part of the Brixton team, Matt oversees the financial aspects of the portfolio, while also being actively involved in the day-to-day and strategic management of assets. With his expertise and commitment to delivering outstanding results, Matt plays a vital role in ensuring that Brixton clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Bryce’s career began as a Chartered Accountant for the Inland Revenue before progressing to become the Chief Accountant of the Moller Group of Companies. He then went on to hold executive positions, including Managing Director, within publicly listed and private companies, all with a strong focus on the property sector.
Throughout his career, Bryce has also invested in and developed commercial property privately, further solidifying his expertise in the industry. In 1994, he founded KCL Property Limited, which merged its business with Augusta Capital in 2014 and was subsequently bought out by Centuria Funds Management in 2020.
Bryce has recently resigned from his day-to-day and Director roles within Centuria to spend more time in his hometown of New Plymouth and working on his philanthropic interests and his own private property investments. Within Brixton, Bryce’s role is to provide overall strategy, drawing on his 40 plus years of experience in the industry. With his wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the property market. Bryce plays a critical role in ensuring that Brixton delivers outstanding results through his experience and out of the box thinking.
After studying in Auckland, Adelle has worked and lived between New Plymouth and Auckland. In 2012, she settled in New Plymouth but continued commuting to Auckland to work with Augusta Funds Management (now Centuria Funds Management), where she worked in both marketing and investor relations roles before advancing to Head of Operations. In that role, Adelle focused on the intersection of people and processes, ensuring that individuals add value and fit seamlessly into operational frameworks.
Now, working part time with Brixton, Adelle brings her expertise in people-centric operations to our business. She hares our relationship-focused philosophy and ensures that everything we commit to maintains that focus.
With a background in the television industry, in the UK, where she developed her exceptional organisational skills, Roya is now an essential part of Brixton Property. Known for her ability to manage high -pressure environments and co-ordinate complex projects, Roya seamlessly transitioned her expertise from the fast-paced world of television to property and facilities management. After relocating to New Zealand after marrying someone from Taranaki, Roya now oversees accounts and facilities management at Brixton Property. Her sharp attention to detail and commitment to efficiency ensure that everything runs smoothly and to the highest standards.
